Covid-19 automatically recognized as an occupational disease only for caregivers

The pandemic has killed more than 170,000 people and infected at least 2.483 million people in 193 countries, according to a latest report released on April 21 by Agence France-Presse (AFP).  These figures are underestimated because most countries only take into account hospital cases.

two-thirds of deaths are concentrated in Europe, where some of the countries that have been hit the most record declining numbers of patients and deaths, after weeks of increase such as Italy (24,114 deaths), Spain  (21,282, including 430 in 24 hours) or the United Kingdom (17,337).

Deconfinement measures are starting to be implemented in Europe, especially in Germany, but the WHO reiterated on Tuesday that any lifting of the restriction measures must be gradual and that there would be a resurgence of infections if these measures were  relaxed too early

The United States has the highest number of deaths (42,000) than cases (766,000) in the world.  The Donald Trump administration is preparing an executive order to temporarily halt immigration while the president himself is accused of stoking anti-containment protests.

 The price of a barrel of American oil collapsed on Monday.  The fall in demand due to the pandemic and the filling of stocks contributed to this sudden drop
